Job Responsibilities:
- Operations Management:
- Plan and oversee the day-to-day activities of the canteen, ensuring efficient service delivery.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within the canteen premises.
- Ensure food preparation and storage meet health and safety regulations.
- Staff Supervision:
- Recruit, train, and manage canteen staff to maintain high service standards.
- Prepare staff schedules and assign duties to ensure adequate coverage during service hours.
- Conduct regular team meetings and address performance-related issues promptly.
- Inventory and Stock Management:
- Monitor stock levels of food, beverages, and supplies, and place orders as needed.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and manage wastage effectively.
- Ensure proper storage of perishable and non-perishable items.
- Customer Service:
- Address customer complaints and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Ensure all food and beverage items are served promptly and meet quality standards.
- Maintain positive relationships with students, employees, or customers using the canteen.
- Financial Management:
- Manage cash flow, sales transactions, and daily revenue collection.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, expenses, and revenues.
- Work within budget guidelines and suggest cost-saving measures.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure adherence to all health, hygiene, and safety standards as per local regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections and address any non-compliance issues immediately.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections.
