The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required by the organization. The role involves maintaining supplier relationships, ensuring timely procurement, controlling costs, and maintaining quality standards while complying with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors.
- Obtain quotations and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and process purchase orders.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely procurement.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
- Verify purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documents.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
- Ensure purchased materials meet quality and company specifications.
- Resolve issues related to delays, shortages, or defective materials.
- Analyze purchasing trends and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with finance, stores, and other departments for smooth procurement operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations (experience requirement may vary).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with ERP or procurement software is an advantage.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
