Position Title- Purchase / Procurement Executive
Job Summary
The Purchase / Procurement Executive is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services required for landscape and civil construction projects. The role involves vendor management, cost control, inventory coordination, negotiation, and ensuring procurement activities align with project timelines and budgets.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Purchasing
- Source and procure construction materials, landscape materials, tools, machinery, and services required for ongoing projects.
- Obtain quotations from multiple vendors and prepare comparative statements.
- Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers.
- Generate Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure approvals as per company procedures.
- Ensure timely procurement to avoid project delays.
Vendor Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, pricing, reliability, and delivery timelines.
- Identify and onboard new vendors for cost-effective procurement.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, store teams, and accounts departments regarding material requirements.
- Track material consumption and monitor inventory levels at project sites.
- Arrange logistics and transportation of materials to sites.
Cost Control & Documentation
- Monitor procurement costs and support budget control initiatives.
- Maintain records of purchases, quotations, invoices, delivery challans, and contracts.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and project specifications.
- Prepare procurement reports and MIS as required.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure purchased materials meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with site teams for material inspection and approvals.
- Follow safety, legal, and environmental compliance standards during procurement activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–5 years of procurement or purchase experience in construction, landscaping, infrastructure, or civil projects.
- Knowledge of construction materials, vendor markets, and procurement procedures.
Required Skills
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of landscape and civil construction materials.
- Good understanding of procurement cycles and inventory management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP software, and purchase documentation.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in landscape contracting, irrigation projects, hardscape works, or civil infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with local supplier networks and construction procurement practices.
- Experience handling site-based procurement operations.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
