Role :Assistant Merchandiser - Fashion Industry
An Assistant Merchandiser supports the merchandising team in managing apparel orders from product development through production and shipment. The role acts as a link between buyers, suppliers, production, and quality teams to ensure timely delivery of quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in handling buyer inquiries and communications.
- Coordinate sample development and approvals.
- Follow up on fabric, trims, and accessories sourcing.
- Track purchase orders and production schedules.
- Monitor order status and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams.
- Maintain merchandising records, costing sheets, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with buyer requirements and specifications.
- Support shipment planning and documentation.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of garments, fabrics, and trims.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines.
- Basic understanding of garment production and supply chain processes.
