Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with expertise in maritime systems to design, implement, and maintain shipboard networks integrated with IBMS (Integrated Bridge Management System). The role involves ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performance connectivity across navigation, communication, and control systems onboard vessels.
Key Responsibilities
- Shipboard Network Design: Architect and configure LAN/WAN infrastructures for vessel operations, ensuring redundancy and resilience.
- IBMS Integration: Collaborate with bridge system engineers to integrate navigation, radar, communication, and control subsystems into the IBMS framework.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Implement firewalls, intrusion detection, and encryption protocols aligned with IMO and naval standards.
- System Monitoring: Deploy and manage monitoring tools to track performance, latency, and fault tolerance across shipboard networks.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide real-time diagnostics and corrective actions during operations and sea trials.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of configurations, integration procedures, and compliance audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, IT or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in shipboard IT systems, preferably with IBMS / CMS or similar integrated platforms.
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, VoIP) and maritime communication standards.
- Familiarity with combat management systems and DSS/AGX integration is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor or similar embedded systems.
- Knowledge of IMO cybersecurity guidelines and naval IT compliance frameworks.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
