Business Analyst
Role Summary
CFOSME is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and business-minded Business Analyst to support our Virtual CFO and advisory services. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams and clients to analyze business data, build MIS and dashboards, support financial planning, and translate numbers into actionable insights.
You will play a key role in strengthening decision-making, reporting accuracy, and process efficiency for CFOSME and its clients, enabling founders and leadership teams to drive sustainable growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness & Data Analysis
● Analyze client and internal business data to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
● Support analysis of revenue, costs, profitability, cash flows, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
● Assist in identifying process gaps and recommending data-driven improvements.
MIS & Reporting
● Prepare and maintain Management Information Systems (MIS), dashboards, and performance reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
● Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of reports.
● Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
Client & Stakeholder Support
● Work closely with Virtual CFOs, finance teams, and clients to understand business requirements.
● Translate business needs into structured analysis and reports.
● Present insights in a clear, simple, and actionable manner to non-finance stakeholders.
Financial Planning & Support
● Assist in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning exercises.
● Support scenario analysis and business decision evaluations.
● Help track financial performance against plans and targets.
Process & Documentation
● Document business processes, reporting structures, and analytical frameworks.
● Support standardization and automation of reports and analysis wherever possible.
Collaboration
● Collaborate with sales, service delivery, and compliance teams to ensure alignment between client expectations and analytical outputs.
● Support smooth onboarding of new clients from a reporting and analytics perspective.
Required Qualifications & ExperienceEducation
● Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
Experience
● 1–4 years of experience in business analysis, financial analysis, MIS reporting, or a related role.
● Experience in consulting, financial services, or working with SMEs/startups is preferred.
Skills
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Advanced proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets.
● Working knowledge of dashboards and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar is a plus).
● Good understanding of financial statements and business metrics.
● Clear verbal and written communication skills.
● Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with deadlines.
Desirable Traits
● Prior exposure to Virtual CFO services, financial planning, or advisory roles is a plus.
● Curious, proactive, and eager to learn.
● High attention to detail with a business-first mindset.
● Comfortable working in a fast-growing, client-facing environment.
Working Conditions
● Full-time role

● Reporting to the Head – Strategy / CFO Partner / CEO (as applicable)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,100,000.00 per year
