About the job:
- As a Commercial Analytics Data & AI Engineer , you will play a key role in designing, building and evolving the data products that power Commercial Analytics across Opella.
- Working closely with Commercial Analytics Product Leads, Data Scientists, Data Engineers and business stakeholders, you will develop scalable and trusted data solutions that enable Sales, Marketing and Commercial Excellence teams to make better decisions through high-quality data and analytics.
- Beyond engineering excellence, you will gain a strong understanding of commercial business processes and data domains, ensuring that technical solutions effectively support business priorities and analytical use cases.
Main responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain integrations across multiple commercial data sources including SAP, CRM platforms, IQVIA, retail execution and external market data providers.
- Support harmonization of commercial master data to enable consistent reporting and analytics across markets.
- Understand commercial business processes to ensure data products accurately reflect business definitions and KPIs.
- Design, build and optimize scalable data pipelines using dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure and upcoming cloud technologies, to support reporting, advanced analytics and AI/ML initiatives.
- Ensure data quality, performance, observability and reliability across commercial analytics products.
- Apply engineering best practices including DataOps, CI/CD, testing and version control.
About you:
Profile:
- 6-10 years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering or Cloud Data Platforms.
- Strong experience with key cloud data ecosystems like DBT with Snowflake or Databricks. Strong familiarity with DevOps and DataOps practices including Git, CI/CD, orchestration, observability, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience building data pipelines and semantic models for reporting and analytics.
- Good understanding of commercial business processes within FMCH or FMCG, Consumer Healthcare or Retail environments.
- Familiarity with commercial datasets such as:
- SAP Sales & Finance
- Salesforce CRM
- Customer Master Data
- IQVIA, Nielsen / Circana
- Perfect Store / Retail Execution
- Marketing Campaign Performance
- Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Strong enthusiasm for AI, ML, and modern automation tooling, with the ability to architect data platforms that support advanced analytics and machine learning workloads.
- Experience with Snowflake or Databricks
- Familiarity with BI and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), with the ability to design semantic layers and data models optimized for analytics consumption.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or similar quantitative field of study.
- Fluent in English
- Function effectively within teams of varied cultural backgrounds and expertise sources.
