Job Summary
The Painter is responsible for carrying out painting, touch-up, polishing, and surface finishing work for electric buses and depot vehicles. The role includes preparing vehicle surfaces, applying paint coatings, maintaining paint quality standards, and ensuring buses are properly maintained in safe and presentable condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare bus surfaces for painting through sanding, scraping, masking, and cleaning.
- Apply primer, paint, and finishing coats on electric buses and vehicle body parts.
- Perform touch-up and repainting work for damaged or repaired bus panels.
- Match paint colors and maintain uniform finishing quality.
- Operate spray painting equipment, polishing tools, and related workshop machinery safely.
- Coordinate with denting and maintenance teams for repair and finishing work.
- Ensure proper drying, polishing, and finishing before vehicle handover.
- Inspect painted surfaces for defects and rectify imperfections.
- Maintain cleanliness of paint booth, tools, and workshop area.
- Follow safety procedures while handling paints, chemicals, and equipment.
- Report material requirements and equipment issues to the supervisor.
- Support emergency repair and repainting work when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma / Experience in Automobile Painting or Vehicle Body Painting.
- Knowledge of spray painting techniques and paint mixing.
- Ability to use painting tools, compressors, spray guns, and polishing equipment.
- Basic understanding of vehicle body repair processes.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to paints and chemicals.
- Ability to work in shifts and under pressure.
Experience Required
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in vehicle painting work.
- Experience in buses, commercial vehicles, or EV buses preferred.

- Attention to detail and finishing quality.
- Disciplined and safety-oriented work approach.
- Good teamwork and coordination skills.
- Ability to complete assigned work within timelines.
Working Conditions
- Workshop and depot-based working environment.
- Exposure to paint fumes, chemicals, and workshop conditions.
- Use of PPE such as masks, gloves, goggles, and safety shoes mandatory.

Pay: ₹10,400.00 - ₹12,558.00 per month
