Job Title: Fashion Design Faculty
Location: Cindrebay School of Design, Chennai
Job Summary:
Cindrebay School of Design, Chennai is seeking a passionate and experienced Fashion Design Faculty to deliver high-quality education, mentor students, and contribute to the academic and creative environment of the institution. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, industry exposure, and a commitment to nurturing future designers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver lectures, workshops, and practical sessions in Fashion Design subjects.
- Develop lesson plans, assignments, and assessment strategies in line with the curriculum.
- Guide students in design development, portfolio creation, and final projects.
- Provide mentorship and continuous academic support to students.
- Conduct regular evaluations, feedback sessions, and performance tracking.
- Stay updated with current fashion trends, techniques, and industry practices.
- Organize and support fashion shows, exhibitions, and academic events.
- Collaborate with the academic team for curriculum development and improvement.
- Maintain academic records and ensure timely submission of reports.
- Participate in institutional activities, meetings, and training programs.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Fashion Design or related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of teaching or relevant industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, textiles, fashion illustration, and design processes.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Passion for teaching and mentoring students.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior teaching experience in a design institute.
- Industry exposure in fashion design, styling, or garment production.
- Experience in handling student portfolios and fashion shows.
