ANM Nurse Job Description
Job Title: ANM
Job Summary:
An ANM Nurse is responsible for providing primary healthcare, maternal and child health services, immunization, health education, and basic nursing care. They work in hospitals, primary health centers (PHCs), sub-centers, clinics, and community health programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic nursing care to patients.
- Assist doctors during examinations and treatments.
- Care for pregnant women before, during, and after delivery.
- Conduct immunization and vaccination programs.
- Monitor the health and growth of infants and children.
- Educate families about hygiene, nutrition, family planning, and disease prevention.
- Maintain patient records and health reports.
- Administer prescribed medications and first aid.
- Identify and refer serious cases to higher healthcare facilities.
- Participate in community health surveys and awareness campaigns.
Required Qualifications:
- ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) diploma from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the State Nursing Council (as required).
- Basic knowledge of maternal and child healthcare.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹25,386.72 per month
