To lead, plan, and oversee end-to-end execution of Solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects—ensuring timely completion, quality adherence, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The PH/DPH will be responsible for strategic planning, cross-functional coordination, and client satisfaction across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Execution
- Lead complete lifecycle of solar EPC projects (utility-scale, C&I, or hybrid systems).
- Develop project execution plans, schedules, and budgets aligned with contractual obligations.
- Review engineering designs, BOQs, and technical drawings for accuracy and feasibility.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials, modules, inverters, and balance-of-system components.
- Monitor progress through project management tools, and implement corrective actions as needed.
2. Team Leadership & Coordination
- Head multidisciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, civil, electrical, safety, and quality.
- Mentor and build a strong on-site project management team.
Coordinate with design, SCM, QA/QC, safety, and finance teams for seamless execution.
3. Contract & Vendor Management
- Review and finalize EPC contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements.
Ensure contractors adhere to timelines, quality, and safety standards.
Manage negotiations, claims, and change orders effectively.
4. Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Enforce HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) protocols at all sites.
Ensure all installations comply with MNRE, DISCOM, and local authority norms.
Conduct regular audits and quality inspections during and post construction.
5. Stakeholder & Client Interface
- Serve as a single point of contact for clients, lenders, consultants, and government agencies.
- Present periodic progress reports and project dashboards to management and clients.
- Ensure client satisfaction and project sign-off documentation.
6. Financial Control
- Track project budgets, cash flows, and profitability.
- Approve and verify contractor bills and material invoices.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or timelines.
Experience Required:
- 12–20 years of total experience, with a minimum of 8 years in solar EPC project execution.
**Proven record of leading utility-scale solar projects (10 MW to 100+ MW) from concept to commissioning.
**Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of solar EPC processes – design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Hands-on knowledge of PV system components, SCADA, and grid integration.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in project management software (MS Project / Primavera / ERP tools).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
