Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Accounts Executive with 4–5 years of practical accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. The role will support accounts and finance operations across our two manufacturing units and office, with responsibility for day-to-day accounting, GST and TDS compliance, payroll-related entries, stock and store accounting, reconciliations, audits, physical verification and monthly reporting.
The candidate should be comfortable working independently in Tally Prime, GST compliance, TDS, purchase accounting, inventory/stock entries, salary and wages accounting, bank stock statements and accounts finalisation support.
Key Responsibilities
· Handle day-to-day accounting entries and maintain accurate books of accounts in Tally Prime.
· Process purchase entries for consumable items, packing materials and other factory-related purchases.
· Pass stock journal entries, cash entries and other accounting entries relating to consumable and store items.
· Maintain and update saleable stock and other stock-related records as required.
· Audit store entries in Tally and verify that physical/store records match accounting records.
· Conduct periodic stock audits for Unit I and Unit II, including machinery, copper and other identified items.
· Visit the factory/unit for physical verification and compare selected item quantities with books/records.
· Support random physical weight checks of finished goods such as welded mesh and chain-link items as per internal audit requirements.
· Prepare and process salary and wages entries for Unit I, Unit II and office/other locations.
· Assist with contractor wage calculations, loading-related calculations and other payroll inputs.
· Maintain salary-related accounting records and personal salary entries where applicable.
· Prepare TDS deduction sheets, verify deductions and pass related accounting entries.
· Handle rent entries along with applicable TDS deductions.
· Prepare and assist in filing monthly GST returns including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B for applicable entities.
· Perform GST reconciliation with GSTR-2A/2B and identify or follow up on mismatches.
· Ensure monthly GST returns are filed within due dates and maintain a compliance check on filing status.
· Prepare monthly Bank Stock Statements and supporting stock/financial information.
· Assist in accounts finalisation, balance sheet updating and year-end closing activities.
· Prepare monthly finance scorecards and other management reports as required.
· Calculate and review profitability of trading bills/transactions for the previous month.
· Audit electricity bills for manufacturing units, including review of power-factor-related details where required.
· Handle accounting/verification of security service bills and other recurring operational bills.
· Upload required documents on e-procurement or customer/vendor portals for applicable jobs and transactions.
· Coordinate with stores, factory teams, purchase, payroll and senior accounts personnel to resolve accounting or stock-related discrepancies.
· Update expenses and finance-related trackers/FMS on time and maintain proper supporting documents.
· Maintain regular reporting of completed work and pending issues to the reporting manager.
Required Skills & Knowledge
· 4–5 years of practical experience in Accounts & Finance.
· Experience in a manufacturing company is strongly preferred.
· Good hands-on knowledge of Tally Prime and routine accounting entries.
· Working knowledge of GST, GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GST reconciliation.
· Good understanding of TDS deductions and related accounting/compliance work.
· Experience in purchase accounting, inventory/stock accounting and stock journal entries.
· Exposure to salary, wages and contractor payment calculations/entries.
· Basic understanding of accounts finalisation, balance sheet schedules and monthly closing.
· Ability to perform physical stock verification and reconcile physical quantities with books.
· Good working knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets.
· People comfortable with using AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude will also be preferred.
· Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and documentation.
· Ability to coordinate with factory, stores and office teams and close discrepancies within timelines.
Qualification
· B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification in Commerce, Accounting or Finance.
· 4–5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
· Candidates with experience in manufacturing accounts and multi-unit operations will be given preference.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should be hands-on, disciplined and comfortable working across both office and factory accounting requirements. The person should be able to manage routine accounting independently, support statutory compliance, perform stock and store checks, coordinate with multiple departments and ensure monthly accounting tasks are completed accurately and within deadlines.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
