Warehouse Operations
- Manage day-to-day warehouse operations including inbound, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
- Ensure timely receipt and dispatch of goods while maintaining service level agreements (SLAs).
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and material flow.
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activities.
- Monitor productivity and operational efficiency.
Inventory Management
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and periodic physical stock audits.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure FIFO, FEFO, or batch management practices where applicable.
- Monitor stock movement and minimize inventory losses.
Team Management
- Lead, supervise, and motivate warehouse supervisors, executives, operators, and contract labor.
- Plan manpower allocation according to operational requirements.
- Conduct training programs on SOPs, safety, and productivity.
- Monitor employee performance and provide regular feedback.
Customer & Client Management
- Coordinate with clients regarding inbound and outbound schedules.
- Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Address customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and share operational reports with customers.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with warehouse safety standards and statutory regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and toolbox talks.
- Maintain housekeeping standards (5S).
- Ensure compliance with ISO, customer audits, and internal quality standards.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Implement Lean Warehouse practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor warehouse KPIs and prepare action plans for improvement.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate warehouse records and documentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Monitor KPIs including:
- Inventory Accuracy
- Order Fulfillment Rate
- Picking Accuracy
- Dispatch Timeliness
- Productivity per Man-hour
- Damage Percentage
- Space Utilization
Coordination
- Coordinate with Procurement, Transport, Finance, Quality, and Customer Service teams.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Ensure smooth communication across departments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM in Operations or Supply Chain is preferred.
Experience
- 6–10 years of warehouse operations experience.
- At least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in 3PL, e-commerce, FMCG, retail, manufacturing, or logistics is preferred.
