Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Interior Draftsman to produce precise 2D and 3D technical drawings for our interior design projects. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our lead interior designers and project managers to translate conceptual designs into comprehensive, construction-ready working drawings. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of spatial planning, millwork detailing, and building materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting & Modeling: Create detailed architectural and interior working drawings, including floor plans, RCPs (Reflected Ceiling Plans), electrical layouts, elevations, and section details.
- Millwork Detailing: Produce highly accurate joinery and custom furniture shop drawings for contractors and vendors.
- Design Coordination: Work closely with senior designers to incorporate design adjustments and ensure all technical drawings align with the creative vision.
- MEP Coordination: Coordinate basic Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) requirements within the interior drawing sets.
- Site Documentation: Visit project sites to take precise measurements and translate them into accurate as-built drawings.
- Quality Control: Review and cross-check drawings for accuracy, compliance with local building codes, and adherence to company drafting standards.
- File Management: Maintain organized project folders, update drawing logs, and ensure proper version control of all CAD files.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1–4 years of professional experience as an Interior Draftsman or CAD Technician in an interior design or architectural firm.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of interior construction methods, materials, finishes, and custom joinery detailing.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision and an eye for spotting inconsistencies in technical plans.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with designers, contractors, and project managers.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict project deadlines.
Software Proficiency
- Expert Level: AutoCAD (2D drafting is essential).
- Highly Proficient: SketchUp or similar 3D modeling software.
- Familiarity: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Bonus Skills: Experience with Revit, 3ds Max, or rendering software (V-Ray, Enscape) is a strong plus.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹48,500.00 per month
