Job Summary:
A Calibration Engineer in a manufacturing company is responsible for ensuring that all measuring instruments and equipment used in the production process are calibrated accurately and comply with industry standards. This role involves performing calibration procedures, troubleshooting measurement issues, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with quality regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Calibration & Maintenance:
- Perform routine and scheduled calibration of measuring instruments, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure all instruments meet accuracy and precision standards required for manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty measurement devices.
2. Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain calibration records, certificates, and reports as per industry regulations.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, NIST, or other regulatory standards.
- Develop and update calibration procedures and work instructions.
3. Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Conduct tests to validate the accuracy of equipment.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure product measurements are within tolerance levels.
- Investigate and resolve measurement discrepancies.
4. Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements in calibration methods and procedures.
- Work with engineering and production teams to enhance measurement accuracy.
- Recommend upgrades or replacements for obsolete calibration equipment.
5. Training & Support:
- Train production and quality teams on proper use and handling of measuring instruments.
- Provide technical support for calibration-related issues.
Qualification : Diploma /BE IC /Electrical/ Mechanical
Salary : 20000 to 32000 per Month
