About the Role
We are a progressive accounting firm in Mohali, seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our team and support our client managers and partners in providing high-quality accounting and taxation services to our diverse client base in Australia . This is a hands-on role where initiative, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility will be key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of Activity Statements, Tax Returns, and Financial Statements for individuals, partnerships, companies, and trusts as per Australian Taxations.
- SMSF experience (Australian Clients) is not essential but will be regarded.
- Provide monthly/quarterly bookkeeping support using Xero software.
- Attend internal and external training sessions to stay updated with tax and accounting developments.
- Support team members and contribute to a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Help with other ad hoc administrative tasks as needed.
What You’ll Bring
- Relevant accounting degree and CA/CPA accreditation (or currently working towards completion or planning to undertake)
- Minimum 4 years experience in Australian practice accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software Xero and MYOB.
- Experience with Class/BGL is not essential but will be regarded.
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach to interaction.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to priorities and meet deadlines.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and enjoys working as part of a team.
