Job Title: Associate Vice President – OperationsJob Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Associate Vice President – Operations to lead large-scale operations across commercial interior fit-out and design & build projects. The role is responsible for driving operational excellence, business growth, profitability, leadership development, and organizational transformation while ensuring seamless execution across multiple regions. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, strategic leadership capabilities, and extensive experience in managing operations, project delivery, and cross-functional teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the long-term operations strategy aligned with organizational business objectives.
- Drive operational excellence, productivity improvements, and scalable business processes across regions.
- Lead organizational transformation initiatives through process optimization, digitalization, automation, and technology adoption.
- Establish governance frameworks, operational KPIs, and performance metrics to improve overall business performance.
Operations & Project Delivery
- Oversee end-to-end execution of multiple commercial interior fit-out and turnkey projects across locations.
- Ensure timely project delivery while maintaining quality, safety, cost, and client satisfaction.
- Monitor project schedules, resource allocation, budgets, and operational risks.
- Drive standardization of project execution methodologies and operational best practices.
Financial & Business Management
- Own and manage the overall Operations P&L across multiple regions or business units.
- Drive profitability through effective budgeting, cost optimization, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Monitor revenue realization, billing cycles, cash flow, and operational performance.
- Identify opportunities for business growth and operational efficiencies.
Leadership & Talent Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop senior operations leaders including General Managers, Deputy General Managers, and regional leadership teams.
- Build succession plans and strengthen leadership capabilities across the organization.
- Drive performance management, employee engagement, and leadership development initiatives.
- Lead strategic hiring and workforce planning for the Operations function.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with key enterprise clients and strategic stakeholders.
- Collaborate with architects, consultants, contractors, project management consultants, and business partners.
- Resolve critical project issues while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Represent the Operations function during executive-level client meetings and business reviews.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Design, Sales, Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Legal, and Technology teams to achieve business objectives.
- Drive alignment across departments to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Support strategic initiatives and business expansion plans.
Process Improvement & Innovation
- Identify opportunities for automation, digital transformation, and AI-driven operational improvements.
- Implement best practices in project management, workflow optimization, reporting, and governance.
- Introduce new technologies and systems to improve operational productivity and scalability.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, quality standards, safety requirements, and company policies.
- Drive risk identification, mitigation, and contingency planning across projects.
- Establish robust governance frameworks for project delivery and operational control.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- MBA/PGDM in Operations, Business Management, Project Management, Finance, or a related field from a premier institute will be preferred.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma, RICS, PgMP, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 12–20 years of progressive experience in Operations, Commercial Interior Fit-Out, Design & Build, Construction, or Project Delivery.
- Proven experience in leading multi-region operations and managing large-scale commercial projects.
- Demonstrated success in P&L management, operational transformation, and leadership development.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving organizational growth.
