Key Responsibilities1. Student Discipline
- Maintain discipline and decorum within the hostel premises at all times.
- Ensure students strictly adhere to hostel rules and regulations.
- Monitor student behavior and take appropriate disciplinary action in consultation with the Chief Warden.
- Counsel students regarding discipline, behavior, and personal responsibility.
- Maintain discipline during study hours, meal times, assemblies, and other hostel activities.
2. Student Supervision
- Conduct regular rounds of hostel rooms, corridors, and common areas.
- Monitor attendance and movement of students.
- Ensure students follow the daily hostel schedule.
- Prevent bullying, ragging, misconduct, and any form of harassment.
3. Safety & Security
- Ensure hostel safety protocols are followed.
- Report emergencies, accidents, or security concerns immediately.
- Coordinate with security staff for effective monitoring.
- Ensure unauthorized persons are not allowed inside the hostel.
4. Hostel Administration
- Maintain discipline-related records and incident reports.
- Document warnings, counseling sessions, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist the Chief Warden in implementing hostel policies.
- Participate in hostel meetings and disciplinary committees when required.
5. Parent Communication
- Inform the Chief Warden about major disciplinary issues requiring parent involvement.
- Participate in meetings with parents regarding student behavior when instructed.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling student matters.
6. Coordination
- Work closely with wardens, hostel staff, teachers, counselors, and security personnel.
- Coordinate during student outings, events, emergencies, and examinations.
- Assist in enforcing institutional policies and hostel procedures.
7. Student Welfare
- Promote positive behavior and mutual respect among students.
- Encourage cleanliness, punctuality, responsibility, and ethical conduct.
- Identify students requiring counseling or emotional support and refer them to the appropriate authority.
Daily Duties
- Conduct morning and evening hostel inspections.
- Monitor attendance during roll calls.
- Supervise study hours and lights-out timings.
- Check cleanliness of rooms and common areas.
- Record disciplinary observations in the hostel register.
- Ensure students comply with hostel timings and dress code.
- Address minor disciplinary issues promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hostel administration, student affairs, or school discipline.
- Experience in residential schools will be preferred.

Working Conditions
- Residential/Hostel-based role.
- Flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency situations as required.
- Availability for night supervision and emergency response when assigned.

Code of Conduct
The Discipline In-Charge shall:
- Treat all students with dignity, fairness, and respect.
- Never use physical punishment, abusive language, intimidation, or humiliating behavior under any circumstances.
- Follow institutional policies and child protection guidelines at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality of student-related matters.
- Act as a role model by demonstrating professionalism, discipline, and ethical conduct.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per hour
