. Job Purpose
To assist the Estate Manager in the efficient planning, coordination and implementation of all operational activities related to the oil palm estate, ensuring high productivity, cost efficiency, compliance and sustainability.
2. Key Responsibilities and Scope
2.1 Field Operations Management
- Plan, supervise and evaluate estate operations including harvesting, manuring, weeding, pruning, circle spraying, and pest & disease control.
- Monitor daily harvesting output to ensure Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) quality and minimize field losses.
- Coordinate replanting programs and land preparation activities.
- Conduct regular field inspections to ensure compliance with agronomic standards and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).
- Ensure optimal and efficient use of fertilizers and agrochemicals.
2.2 Labour Management and Supervision
- Supervise and manage daily deployment of mandors, general workers, and contract workers.
- Monitor worker attendance, productivity, and discipline.
- Ensure effective communication between supervisors and field workers.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and on-the-ground coaching to improve labour efficiency and output.
2.3 Administrative Work and Reporting
- Record, compile, and analyze daily estate operational data (FFB yield, productivity, man-days, etc.).
- Assist in preparing weekly and monthly operational reports.
- Monitor stock usage and balance of estate inputs such as fertilizers, chemicals, tools and PPE.
- Maintain accurate documentation for operational tracking and audit purposes.
2.4 Cost Control and Resource Allocation
- Monitor and control estate cost per hectare and cost per tonne of FFB produced.
- Identify opportunities to reduce wastage and improve cost efficiency.
- Plan and optimize the use of machinery, fuel and estate vehicles.
2.5 Crop Performance & Yield Optimization
- Monitor and analyze yield trends, productivity, and overall crop performance.
- Identify underperforming blocks and implement corrective agronomic measures.
- Ensure timely harvesting rounds to maintain optimum fruit quality.
- Collaborate with agronomy teams to improve soil fertility and palm health.
2.6 Infrastructure & Maintenance Management
- Oversee maintenance of estate infrastructure such as roads, bridges, drainage systems and buildings.
- Ensure proper accessibility to all field blocks for smooth operations.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance of machinery and vehicles to reduce downtime.
2.7 Compliance, Certification & Safety
- Implement and monitor compliance with MSPO standards and company policies.
- Ensure adherence to legal, environmental, and occupational safety regulations.
- Conduct safety briefings and promote a safe working environment.
- Assist in maintaining documentation for audits and inspections (JTK, MPOB, DOSH, BOMBA, etc.).
- Support internal and external audit processes.
2.8 Sustainability & Environmental Management
- Promote sustainable plantation practices in line with certification standards.
- Monitor environmentally sensitive areas such as buffer zones and riparian reserves.
- Ensure proper waste management and safe chemical handling practices.
- Support initiatives for environmental conservation and soil protection.
2.9 Training & Workforce Development
- Identify training needs and organize skill development programs.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to supervisors and workers.
- Support workforce planning and succession development.
- Promote a productive and disciplined work culture.
2.10 Risk Management & Problem Solving
- Identify operational risks such as labour shortages, weather impacts, and pest outbreaks.
- Implement preventive and corrective measures to minimize disruptions.
- Assist the Estate Manager in decision-making and crisis management.
2.11 Technology & Innovation Adoption
- Encourage adoption of modern technologies (e.g., GPS mapping, drones, digital reporting tools).
- Support mechanization initiatives to improve efficiency.
- Promote continuous improvement through innovation in estate practices.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
