Job Summary
The In-House Architect – Art & Design Coordinator will be responsible for developing and coordinating architectural, interior, landscape, and aesthetic design elements across the company's real estate projects. The role involves ensuring design excellence, maintaining brand identity, coordinating with consultants and project teams, reviewing design deliverables, and overseeing the integration of art, signage, façade treatments, public spaces, and interior finishes to create high-quality developments.
Key ResponsibilitiesArchitectural Design Coordination
- Coordinate architectural design development from concept through construction.
- Review drawings, layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed architectural submissions.
- Ensure compliance with project design briefs, local building regulations, and company standards.
- Coordinate with external architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, landscape architects, and interior designers.
Art & Design Management
- Develop and implement design concepts that enhance the visual identity and brand value of projects.
- Coordinate artwork, sculptures, murals, feature walls, installations, and public art for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
- Review material palettes, colour schemes, textures, lighting concepts, and façade aesthetics.
- Interior & Landscape Coordination
- Coordinate interior design packages for common areas, amenities, and sample apartments.
- Review furniture layouts, lighting plans, finishes, and specifications.
- Work with landscape consultants to ensure cohesive outdoor design and public spaces.
Design Review & Quality Control
- Review shop drawings, material samples, mock-ups, and finish boards.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure design intent is maintained during execution.
- Resolve design-related issues with contractors, consultants, and site teams.
- Approve architectural finishes and design modifications in consultation with management.
Project Coordination
- Liaise with Project Management, Procurement, Marketing, Sales, and Construction teams.
- Ensure timely submission and approval of design deliverables.
- Coordinate design changes and maintain revision control.
- Participate in project meetings and design review sessions.
Vendor & Consultant Management
- Coordinate with architects, interior designers, artists, graphic designers, signage vendors, lighting consultants, and specialist suppliers.
- Evaluate consultant proposals and design presentations.
- Monitor consultant performance and deliverables.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain architectural drawings, design specifications, mood boards, and material libraries.
- Ensure adherence to applicable building codes, fire safety requirements, accessibility norms, and environmental guidelines.
- Maintain project documentation and design records.
Innovation & Research
- Stay updated on contemporary architectural trends, sustainable design practices, innovative materials, and emerging technologies.
- Recommend design improvements that enhance functionality, aesthetics, and long-term value.
- Support the adoption of environmentally responsible and energy-efficient design solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (B.Arch.) from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the appropriate architectural council is preferred.
- Master's Degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Interior Design, or Sustainable Design will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in architectural design and project coordination within the Real Estate, Construction, or Interior Design industry.
- Experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use developments is preferred.
- Exposure to design coordination from concept through project completion.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar architectural software.
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Experience with BIM workflows is an advantage.
- Familiarity with MS Office and project collaboration platforms.
