Job Summary
The Technical Assistant is responsible for providing technical support for computer systems, hardware, software, networking, audio-visual equipment, and other technical infrastructure within the organization. The role ensures smooth functioning of technical operations and timely resolution of technical issues.
Key Responsibilities Technical Support
- Provide technical assistance to staff, students, and departments.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals.
- Support internet connectivity and LAN/Wi-Fi operations.
Hardware & Software Maintenance
- Perform regular maintenance of desktops, laptops, projectors, printers, and CCTV systems.
- Install and update operating systems, drivers, and software applications.
- Monitor system performance and ensure proper functioning of devices.
- Maintain inventory of technical equipment and accessories.
Lab & Classroom Support
- Assist in setting up computer labs, smart classrooms, and technical equipment.
- Ensure projectors, speakers, microphones, and digital boards function properly.
- Provide technical support during examinations, presentations, and events.
Data & Security Management
- Assist in data backup and system security procedures.
- Ensure antivirus updates and basic cybersecurity practices are followed.
- Report technical risks or system failures to management.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain records of repairs, maintenance, and technical issues.
- Prepare reports on equipment status and technical requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors for repairs and procurement if required.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Hardware Networking, or related field.
- Certification in hardware/networking preferred.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Basic networking and internet configuration skills.
- Familiarity with printers, CCTV systems, and smart classroom equipment.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in technical support or IT assistance preferred.
Working Conditions
- Full-time position.
- May require support during events, examinations, or emergency technical issues.
Pay: ₹9,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
