We're looking for a skilled freelance video editor to join our team on a project basis. You'll be responsible for transforming raw footage into polished, engaging videos that align with our brand and messaging goals.
Responsibilities
- Edit raw video footage into final, publish-ready content (YouTube, social media, ads, corporate videos, etc.)
- Add graphics, text overlays, transitions, color correction, and sound design
- Sync audio, music, and voiceovers with visuals
- Trim, cut, and reorganize footage for pacing and storytelling
- Collaborate with the creative/marketing team to understand project vision
- Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently
- Ensure final exports meet platform-specific specs (aspect ratio, resolution, file size)
- Manage and organize project files/assets
- Meet agreed-upon deadlines for each project
Requirements
- Proven experience as a video editor (portfolio/reel required)
- Proficiency in editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, Filmora, etc.)
- Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and visual composition
- Experience with color grading and basic sound mixing
- Familiarity with formatting for different platforms (YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/deadlines
- Strong communication skills and responsiveness
- Reliable internet connection and own editing equipment/software
Nice to Have
- Motion graphics / animation skills (After Effects)
- Experience with short-form/social content editing
- Basic knowledge of SEO/thumbnails for YouTube
- Prior experience working with brands/agencies
