Position Project Manager – Retail Expansion Reporting To Founder & CEO Location Mumbai (PAN India travel required) Role Objective Open new stores on time, within budget, and as per brand standards. The role will own the end-to end execution and coordination of new store openings from location scouting through operational handover to the Retail Operations team. Key Responsibilities 1. Location & Leasing Coordinate location scouting activities. Manage landlord communication and follow-ups. Coordinate LOI discussions and execution. Coordinate lease agreement process with internal and external stakeholders. Support site evaluation and site measurement activities. 2. Design & Project Coordination Coordinate with architects, consultants, and internal stakeholders. Manage BOQ preparation and review process. Obtain and compare vendor quotations. Coordinate vendor and contractor discussions. Track design approvals and execution readiness. 3. Execution & Site Management Coordinate contractors and execution partners. Conduct regular site visits and monitor progress. Ensure project timelines are maintained. Track project progress against approved budgets and timelines. Identify project risks and escalate proactively. Maintain project trackers, documentation, and status reports. 4. Store Readiness Coordinate furniture and fixture installation. Coordinate technology readiness including POS, CRM, internet, CCTV, access control, and related infrastructure. Coordinate signage execution and installation. Support recruitment and training readiness activities. Drive overall store launch readiness. 5. Handover & Closure Ensure all snag points are closed before launch. Conduct final store readiness audits. Complete operational handover to Retail Operations. Maintain project closure documentation. Success Metrics Expansion Delivery Successfully open 3–5 stores per quarter. Manage 3–5 stores simultaneously. Timeline Management Deliver 95%+ project milestones on schedule. Zero major launch delays due to coordination failures. Risk Management Zero missed critical dependencies. Early identification and escalation of risks. Stakeholder Management Strong accountability across landlords, architects, contractors, vendors, and internal teams. Reporting & Governance Accurate project trackers and dashboards. Clear project visibility for leadership. No last-minute surprises. Operational Readiness Smooth handover to Retail Operations. Successful launch readiness completion for every store. Preferred Candidate Profile Experience 5–8 years of relevant experience. Jewellery retail experience preferred. Strong New Store Opening (NSO) experience is mandatory. Experience managing multiple retail rollout projects simultaneously. Experience coordinating landlords, architects, contractors, consultants, and vendors. Education Graduate in any discipline. Project Management Certification preferred. Travel Requirement Willingness to travel PAN India as required. Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
