The Automation Delivery Manager is a key L6 role within the Automation Delivery Unit under BCSS MSN SLOP Service Management. The individual will be responsible for leading and guiding the automation team to meet the strategic automation needs of Managed Services across multiple customers. This role involves driving innovative automation solutions, design, development, and deployment using Ericsson-standardized tools such as RPA, ENABLE, MATE, and other proprietary In-house tools.
What will you do:
- Drive the digital transformation of existing and upcoming Managed Services businesses through the design, development, and deployment of relevant automation solutions.
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of automation solutions based on approved ideas, leveraging Ericsson's in-house and standardized automation platforms, including RPA, ENABLE, MATE etc.
- Ensure automation projects are delivered according to the agreed project plans and scope, promoting the "develop once and reuse everywhere" philosophy to maximize ROI and improve automation saturation across MS contracts.
- Align automation delivery with MSN's key strategic priorities and ensure it contributes to overall goals.Foster a culture of innovation by identifying and implementing AAA (Automation, Analytics, AI/ML) opportunities across the business unit.
- Ensure readiness and smooth execution of the “Transition and Transformation” program for new MS opportunities.
- Develop a Tools Charter, clearly defining roles and responsibilities across teams and stakeholders.
- Conceptualize and implement improvements to tools capability and performance.
- Define and document SLAs for end-to-end tools and automation delivery support, ensuring clear expectations with stakeholders.
- Align and manage periodic demand and capacity with key stakeholders like SDUs.
- Ensure the realization and validation of business benefits post-automation go-live.
- Proactively identify and mitigate any delivery impediments, ensuring that projects and SDE delivery stay on track.
The skills you bring:
- 12+ years of experience in the Telco/IT sectors, with at least 8 years of expertise in managing diverse teams skilled in automation, software development, and agile delivery practices. Min 5 yrs team handling exp.
- A university degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications), Business Administration, or equivalent experience in a related field. An MBA is a plus.
- Strong technical and business acumen, enabling effective driving of the strategic efficiency program across the MS Networks portfolio.
- SDLC Exp is must along with AI/ML & CI/CD exp .
- Excellent communication and reporting skills & Solid understanding of financial controls and reporting. Deep knowledge of the MS customers' operating models and business requirements.
- Functional knowledge of automation development and visualization platforms/environment, with a high-level operational understanding of Linux, Windows, programming languages (Java, JavaScript), and database systems.
