Brass Animals is a fast-growing live entertainment company offering brass bands, jazz combos, dance bands, and second-line parade experiences for weddings and corporate events across the US. We operate a nationally distributed musician model and are scaling toward $2M+ in revenue. We're a small, high-velocity team that runs on smart systems, AI-powered workflows, and a bias toward execution over process.
The Role
We're scaling our paid media efforts across Google Ads and Meta, and we need someone to own the day-to-day management layer around it: keeping track of what's running, what it's costing us, and where it needs attention.
This is not a traditional project manager role. We don't want Gantt charts and status decks. We want someone who can get hands-on with ad management — checking in on active campaigns and tasks, tracking ad spend, and flagging what's working and what isn't — while building lightweight workflows that keep things visible without adding bureaucratic overhead.
You'll work closely with our Marketing Lead, with visibility into the role also shared with our CEO.
What You'll Own
In the first 30 days — launch coordination:
- Keep a simple tracker across our active growth workstreams (Vapi/Make speed-to-lead bridge, Meta campaign launch, Google Ads optimization, GHL/GCLID offline conversion tracking, Meta CAPI setup, Loveable sales dashboard) so we always know what's launched, what's in progress, and what's blocked
- Regular check-ins (async or a quick daily standup) with workstream owners to surface blockers early
- Help close the gaps that fall between lanes — the “whose job is this exactly” tasks, like coordinating the GHL → Google Ads closed-won conversion connection between our CRM specialist and our Google Ads manager
- A weekly update to your manager (and visible to the CEO as needed) on what launched, what's blocked, what's at risk, and what needs a decision
Ongoing — ad management and channel visibility:
You'll be accountable to a short list of metrics, not a long list of tasks:
- Cost per qualified lead by channel — you help keep this measurable and flag in your weekly update where budget might need to shift across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and organic
- Lead-to-call-booked conversion rate — you help track where leads are dropping off stage by stage, and coordinate with sales and CRM to address it
- Closed-won attribution — you help keep the GHL → Google/Meta conversion loop and channel tagging clean so deals can be traced back to a channel
- Specialist alignment — supporting Danko, Adel, and Alex in staying pointed at the same conversion goals and sharing what they're learning, rather than optimizing in isolation
- Workstream launch velocity — in the first 30 days, the goal is simple: did things ship on time and do they work
What We're Looking For
Must-haves:
- Hands-on experience with Google Ads and Meta Ads at the campaign management level — you don't need to be a specialist, but you need to know enough to ask the right questions and recognize when something's wrong
- Comfortable tracking and reporting on ad spend — you can build and maintain a simple, reliable tracking system
- Active user of Claude, ChatGPT, or similar AI tools for real work — not just writing assistance, but workflow support and data synthesis
- Strong async communicator; comfortable managing up and across a distributed team via Slack and Loom
- US hours availability (PST preferred)
Strong differentiators:
- Experience with a CRM (GHL, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) at the workflow level
- Familiarity with offline conversion tracking (Google Ads GCLID, Meta CAPI)
- Experience with Make, Zapier, or similar automation platforms
- Has worked in a high-velocity small team where you wore multiple hats and figured things out independently
Mindset:
- You default to “I'll figure it out” before “I need more information”
- You manage by outcomes, not activity
- You're comfortable with ambiguity and fast-changing priorities
- You'd rather send a 3-minute Loom than write a 10-paragraph status email
