Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Accounts Executive to manage daily accounting operations at the showroom. The role includes handling billing, cash and bank transactions, receivables & payables, GST compliance, and TDS-related activities while coordinating with the Head Office accounts team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Accounting Operations
- Maintain daily cash book and bank book.
- Record sales, receipts, payments, and journal entries in the accounting system.
- Prepare and submit daily sales and collection reports.
- Ensure accurate billing and invoicing of customers.
- Coordination with vendors
2. Cash & Bank Management
- Handle daily cash transactions and maintain proper documentation.
- Deposit daily collections in the bank.
- Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
- Monitor and manage petty cash expenses.
3. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Track customer outstanding payments and follow up for collections.
- Process vendor bills and ensure timely payments.
- Maintain accurate records of receivables and payables.
- Reconcile customer and vendor ledgers periodically.
4. GST & TDS Compliance
- Deduct TDS as per applicable sections of the Income Tax Act.
- Prepare TDS working sheets and maintain deduction records.
- Ensure timely deposit of TDS payments.
- Assist in filing TDS returns and issuing TDS certificates (Form 16A).
- Support GST data preparation and reconciliation with sales and purchase registers.
- Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants for statutory compliance.
5. Sales & Inventory Support
- Reconcile daily sales with system entries.
- Coordinate with the sales team for pending payments.
- Assist in stock verification and inventory reconciliation.
6. Documentation & Audit Support
- Maintain proper filing of invoices, vouchers, TDS documents, and statutory records.
- Assist during internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) / Accounting / Finance.
- 1-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a retail/showroom setup.
- Knowledge of accounting software (Tally, Busy, SAP, or similar).
- Good understanding of GST and TDS regulations.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred).
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
