Job Summary:
The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and monitoring engineering projects to ensure they are completed safely, within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with company quality standards. The role involves coordinating with internal departments, contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects from initiation to completion.
- Prepare project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of milestones.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, purchase, quality, and external contractors.
- Review engineering drawings, layouts, BOQs, and technical specifications.
- Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of new equipment and facilities.
- Ensure all project activities comply with safety, statutory, and environmental regulations.
- Identify project risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor contractor performance and verify work completion.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
- Manage project documentation, including drawings, work permits, inspection reports, and completion records.
- Coordinate procurement of project materials and monitor delivery schedules.
- Support cost control initiatives and optimize project expenditures.
- Participate in technical discussions and vendor evaluations.
- Ensure projects meet quality standards and customer requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Project management certification is an added advantage.
Experience:
- 3–8 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Required Skills:
- Strong project planning and execution skills.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial utilities.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with MS Project or other project management software is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Leadership and team coordination skills.

- Project completion within planned schedule.
- Project completion within approved budget.
- Compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Reduction in project delays and cost overruns.
- Successful commissioning and handover of projects.
- Contractor performance and adherence to timelines.

Working Conditions:
- Factory and project site-based role.
- May require travel to vendor locations and project sites
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
