Job Summary:
The Business development Executive is responsible for achieving sales targets in the assigned territory by promoting and selling the company's premium interior hardware products (architectural hardware, bathroom accessories, locks, handles, etc.) to dealers, retailers, builders, contractors, and institutional customers. This role involves fieldwork, relationship building, order generation, collection follow-up, and ensuring customer satisfaction to drive business growth in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit customers (shops, dealers, builders, contractors) per route plan to promote products and generate orders.
- Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets (volume, value, product mix).
- Demonstrate products/catalogues/price lists; appoint/manage new dealers.
- Monitor customer stock, suggest reorders, coordinate supply.
- Follow up collections (ageing reports/tracker); verify field orders/invoices.
- Submit daily sales/visit/collection reports to Area Sales Manager.
- Update customer database, competitor intel, market opportunities.
- Handle enquiries/complaints; escalate repeated issues.
- Participate in review meetings with territory summaries/action plans.
- Maintain route plans, call logs, expense reports.
- Ensure policy compliance (pricing/discounts/credit); support promotions/launches.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate (any discipline); Preferred Master’s degree in Marketing or MBA.
- 1–3 years of experience in field sales, preferably in FMCG, building materials, hardware distribution, or related B2B sectors.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel for basic reporting).
- Strong communication skills in Malayalam and English (essential for customer interactions in Kerala).
- Valid two & four-wheeler driving license and willingness to travel extensively in the allotted market (Within Kerala).
