Job Description:
The General Manager – Finance is a senior leadership role responsible for managing the company’s overall financial operations, strategy, compliance, and reporting. The role works closely with top management to drive business growth and ensure financial stability. Without the strength of the accounting team here at Olive Infraresorts Pvt Ltd, we wouldn’t be able to offer the industry-leading service we’re known for. We’re seeking an experienced General Manager - Finance to oversee our high-performing team. The ideal candidate should be having experience as an accountant in a senior role. As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, this person will streamline our budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes.
Objectives of this role:
- Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points
- Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
- Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions
- Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development
- Help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business goals
- Oversee accounting, MIS, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other regulations
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Lead and manage the finance & accounts team
- Work with other departments to improve profitability
- Evaluate projects, investments, and expansion plans. Provide financial insights to senior management
- Develop team capabilities and ensure performance management
- Ensure financial stability and sustainability
- Manage banking relationships and treasury operations. Ensure timely collections and payments
- Coordinate internal and external audits. Maintain strong internal controls and governance
- Ensure accurate preparation of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Support decision-making with financial insights and analysis
