We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to design, execute, and maintain aesthetically appealing, functional, and brand-consistent spaces across all AFAQ GROUP properties.
The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design, excellent project coordination skills, and the ability to transform concepts into practical, cost-effective interior solutions while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Position Summary
The Interior Designer will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and maintaining interior décor and visual aesthetics across AFAQ GROUP properties, including clinics, hotels, restaurants, corporate offices, event venues, and upcoming business projects.
The role involves collaborating with management, architects, vendors, contractors, procurement teams, and operations departments to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with the organization's branding and customer experience standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesInterior Design & Space Planning
- Plan, design, and execute interior decoration and styling projects across all AFAQ GROUP business units.
- Develop creative, functional, and brand-aligned interior concepts that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Design interior spaces for:
- Healthcare clinics
- Hotels and hospitality properties
- Restaurants and entertainment venues
- Corporate offices
- Event venues and promotional setups
- New business projects
- Understand business requirements and translate them into practical design solutions.
Design Development
- Prepare professional design presentations and proposals for management approval.
- Create comprehensive design documentation, including:
- Mood boards
- Theme concepts
- Colour palettes
- Furniture layouts
- Material specifications
- Décor and styling concepts
- Lighting plans
- Space utilization plans
Project Planning & Execution
- Prepare project execution plans covering:
- Material specifications
- Quantity estimates
- Vendor requirements
- Cost estimates
- Project schedules and timelines
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, suppliers, and procurement teams for smooth project execution.
- Ensure all projects are completed according to approved designs, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
- Review quotations and recommend cost-effective procurement solutions.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure timely completion of assigned work.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors while ensuring quality and compliance.
Site Supervision & Quality Control
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor project progress.
- Ensure:
- Design accuracy
- Quality workmanship
- Timeline adherence
- Safety compliance
- Brand consistency
- Identify project risks and coordinate corrective actions when necessary.
Renovation & Maintenance
- Plan and oversee renovation, refurbishment, and décor enhancement projects.
- Organize periodic upgrades, including:
- Seasonal décor updates
- Visual merchandising improvements
- Customer experience enhancements
- Brand refresh initiatives
- Ensure all interiors remain well-maintained and aligned with company standards.
Budget & Cost Management
- Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets.
- Identify and report:
- Cost overruns
- Project delays
- Quality concerns
- Vendor performance issues
- Recommend cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate project records, including:
- Approved design concepts
- Layout drawings
- Material specifications
- Vendor information
- Budget tracking
- Project progress
- Completion reports
- Maintenance requirements
Prepare regular project status reports for management, highlighting achievements, challenges, costs, and recommendations.
Compliance & Coordination
- Ensure all interior works comply with:
- Building regulations
- Fire and safety standards
- Operational requirements
- Company policies
- Coordinate with operations teams to minimize disruption to daily business activities during project execution.
- Support management in developing scalable interior design standards for future AFAQ GROUP projects.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
The performance of the Interior Decorator will be evaluated based on:
- Successful completion of interior projects within approved timelines.
- Adherence to approved project budgets.
- Quality and consistency of interior execution.
- Brand consistency across all AFAQ GROUP properties.
- Customer experience enhancement through design improvements.
- Effective vendor and contractor management.
- Successful execution of renovation and refurbishment projects.
- Maintenance and upkeep of existing interiors and décor.
- Accuracy of project documentation and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Interior Decoration, Architecture, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in Interior Design or Project Management will be an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in interior decoration, commercial interiors, hospitality, healthcare, retail, or corporate projects.
- Experience managing multiple interior projects simultaneously.
- Prior experience coordinating with vendors, contractors, architects, and procurement teams is preferred.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of interior design principles and space planning.
- Expertise in furniture selection, lighting, colour schemes, materials, finishes, and décor styling.
- Excellent project planning and execution skills.
- Strong budgeting, cost estimation, and cost-control abilities.

- Knowledge of safety regulations and building compliance standards.
- Strong creative thinking combined with practical problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to manage multiple projects across different business locations.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3Ds Max, Revit, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar design tools will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation, reporting, and project coordination.
