Storm Water Drainage Expert

Job details

Prepare and review Integrated Urban Storm Water Drainage Master Plans and Detailed Project Reports (DPRs).
Carry out hydrological investigations, rainfall analysis, catchment delineation, runoff estimation, and hydraulic modelling.
Design and review storm water drainage systems, culverts, channels, hydraulic structures, and flood mitigation measures.
Develop sustainable urban drainage solutions, including Blue-Green Infrastructure and climate-resilient drainage systems.
Prepare hydraulic calculations, engineering designs, technical specifications, BOQs, cost estimates, and tender inputs.
Coordinate with survey and GIS teams for data collection, drainage mapping, and integration of survey data with hydraulic models.
Review technical reports, drawings, and analyses, ensuring compliance with CPHEEO, BIS, IRC standards, and QA/QC procedures.
Attend client meetings, stakeholder consultations, and technical presentations; provide technical support during project reviews and approvals.
Prepare progress reports and ensure timely submission of technical deliverables in coordination with the Team Leader and Deputy Team Leader.
Support DPR vetting, project approvals, and implementation with sound technical guidance.

B.E./B.Tech. Civil, M.E./M.Tech. in Hydrology/Hydraulics/Water Resources

Proficiency in hydraulic modelling software such as InfoWorks ICM, InfoWorks WS Pro, Bentley SewerGEMS/StormCAD, HEC-RAS, SWMM, or equivalent.
Expertise in storm water drainage system planning and design.
Knowledge of flood mitigation techniques and climate-resilient urban drainage.
Familiarity with Blue-Green Infrastructure and Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SuDS).
Proficiency in hydraulic modelling software such as InfoWorks ICM, InfoWorks WS Pro, Bentley SewerGEMS/StormCAD, HEC-RAS, SWMM, or equivalent.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Thorough understanding of urban hydrology and hydraulics.
