Team Leader / Supervisor – Debt Recovery (NPA / Write-Off / BKT, All Fields)

About the Role
Do you know how to turn a stalled portfolio into a recovered one? We're looking for an experienced Team Leader / Supervisor to take charge of a Debt Recovery process spanning NPA, Write-Off, and all Bucket categories. This is a role for someone who has walked both sides of collections — telecalling and field — and knows exactly how to get results from a team, not just from individual effort. If you can manage people, manage portfolios, and manage other managers, all while keeping targets on track, we want to talk to you.
What You'll Own
- Supervise and lead a mixed team handling both telecalling and field collection activities across NPA, Write-Off, and BKT segments
- Drive your team to consistently achieve and exceed monthly recovery targets
- Take full ownership of portfolio management — segmenting accounts, prioritizing high-value recoveries, and tracking case-wise progress
- Manage and mentor other team managers, ensuring alignment of strategy, targets, and daily execution across the floor
- Design and deliver training programs for freshers, getting new joiners up to speed on collection techniques, compliance, and field protocols
- Monitor daily calling and field visit productivity, identifying bottlenecks and course-correcting in real time
- Review recovery trends and portfolio health regularly, reporting insights and action plans to senior stakeholders
- Ensure every recovery activity — telecalling or field — stays fully compliant with regulatory and organizational guidelines
- Build a disciplined, target-focused culture across the team while keeping morale and motivation high
- Coordinate between telecalling and field teams to ensure smooth handoffs and no lead falls through the cracks
What You Bring to the Table
- Proven experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor in a Debt Recovery process, with solid exposure to NPA, Write-Off, and BKT (all buckets)
- Strong working knowledge of both telecalling collections and field collection operations
- A demonstrated history of hitting and exceeding recovery targets
- Sharp portfolio management skills — the ability to read a portfolio and know exactly where to focus energy
- Experience training and onboarding freshers into a collections environment
- The maturity and leadership presence to manage other managers, not just individual contributors
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and people-management skills
- A results-driven mindset with the resilience to perform in a target-heavy environment
Eligibility
- Prior experience in a similar Team Leader / Supervisor role within Debt Recovery is required
- Comfortable managing both telecalling and field collection functions simultaneously
