Job Summary
The OPD Assistant – Dermatology is responsible for supporting the smooth functioning of the Dermatology Outpatient Department by assisting dermatologists during consultations and procedures, coordinating patient flow, maintaining medical records, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring a high standard of patient care and infection control.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and register patients in the Dermatology OPD.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow to minimize waiting time.
- Prepare consultation and procedure rooms before clinics.
- Assist dermatologists during examinations and minor dermatological procedures.
- Prepare and maintain instruments, consumables, and treatment equipment.
- Record patient vitals and update electronic medical records as directed.
- Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure instructions.
- Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and infection control practices.
- Monitor inventory of medical supplies, consumables, and dermatology products.
- Coordinate laboratory investigations, biopsies, and follow-up appointments.
- Handle patient queries and direct them to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with hospital policies and quality standards.
- Assist in documentation, billing coordination, and insurance-related processes when required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Medical Assistant, or a related field.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in an OPD, preferably in a dermatology or cosmetic clinic.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
