About the Role
This is a dual-function role combining morning accounting work for The SWIFT Group with evening chess coaching at Swift Elite Sports Academy (SESA). Ideal for someone with a background in both bookkeeping and competitive/coaching-level chess who wants a varied, full day role in Doha.
Schedule
Morning (Accounting): ~4 hours, based at The SWIFT Group office
Evening (Chess Coaching): ~3–4 hours, at SESA academy venues
Key Responsibilities
Morning — Accounts Executive (The SWIFT Group)
Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping: accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
Process supplier and customer invoices; reconcile bank accounts
Maintain accurate records across SWIFT Group's business divisions (trading, industrial, fit-out)
Prepare basic financial reports (cash flow summaries, aging reports) for management review
Coordinate with external auditors/consultants during audit cycles
Evening — Chess Instructor (SESA)
Deliver group and individual chess coaching sessions for students aged 5–17, following the Chakravyuha curriculum framework
Prepare students for local and regional tournaments; track individual player progress and ratings
Maintain session attendance and progress records via the academy's internal system
Communicate with parents on student development
Requirements
B.Com/M.Com or equivalent accounting qualification, with 2+ years of hands-on bookkeeping/accounts experience
Working knowledge of accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks) and Excel
FIDE rating preferred (e.g., Candidate Master or above) OR 3+ years of demonstrated club-level chess coaching experience
Prior experience coaching children/juniors in a structured setting
Strong communication skills in English
Willingness to relocate to Doha, Qatar on a sponsored work visa
Comfortable with a split daily schedule across two functions/locations
