CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- 20 years of experience in Eyewear / Similar Product Manufacturing, with BE mechanical Engineering
- Leadership experience in mass manufacturing
- Demonstrated process improvement experience in manufacturing
- Demonstrated experience in running and managing manufacturing plants
- Be hands on and bring strong lean manufacturing/six sigma expertise in driving continuous improvement
- Ability to interact with cross functional teams, understand efficiency gaps and close the loops
- Ability to take decisive action based on professional and practical analysis of situations
- Experience and knowledge of leading a team, including the natural ability to motivate, coach & mentor staff to maximize result
THIS ROLE INVOLVES
i)Monitor eyewear production goals, policies, procedures and systems related to all aspects of day-to-day manufacturing operation Contribute directly to streamlining the operations
ii)Provide the competitive edge by developing & institutionalizing best in class eyewear manufacturing practices.
iii)Redefine manufacturing operations, creating programs, in process drawings and recommend process efficiencies to increase productivity and reduce manufacturing costs at plant operations.
iv)Build new capabilities at in-house process, by continuously bringing newer technology in manufacturing
v)Improve productivity per head count, Skill building, Process engineering function
vi)Ensure resource utilisation to achieve ramp up production volume
vii)Ensuring delivery alignment of all logistics requirement meeting business requirements
viii) Technical direction, analysis, and project management support for the implementation of eyewear manufacturing technologies and quality initiatives at our manufacturing facility
New product development, technical design, prototyping, roll out new eyewear with the latent need of the customer

- NPD, D&D and Tooling team

PROCESS CONTRIBUTIONS:
- Process Management
- Production review & New product development meeting
- Selection of right process to achieve manufacturing to product design and specifications
- Track production alignment and fine tune the priorities
- Skill review of the workforce and on the job training plan
- Employee engagement through Kaizen, 5S, WCM, Lean tools, CFT on conservation of resources and ISO and OHSAS
- New Process Development in production to reduce conversion cost
- Partner Management
- Review vendors performance - Performance review w.r.t. TAT, Delivery, New Requirement discussion., Load allocation and future projection
- New Vendor trail
- Price negotiation
- Work closely with vendor for continuous improvement, Monthly review of consistency of vendor performance and response
- Cost Management
- Reduce production consumable cost
- Production Engg. function to set effective work center
- Monitoring Cost vs Budget as per mfg. calls.
- PSV’s to be done regularly for reducing write off’s
