Role Summary
Enterprise Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic sales of IT hardware and software solutions. The role involves managing key enterprise accounts, developing new business opportunities, maintaining long-term customer relationships, and achieving sales targets through consultative selling.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Revenue Generation
- Drive end-to-end sales for IT Hardware (Servers, Storage, Networking) and Software (licenses, subscriptions, SaaS solutions).
- Achieve assigned sales targets, revenue goals, and gross margin objectives.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing and new accounts.
- Prepare and present customized proposals, pricing, and solution documents to clients.
Account Management
- Manage and grow strategic/key customer accounts across enterprise, SMB, and government sectors.
- Act as a single point of contact for customers, ensuring high satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Conduct regular account reviews and identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Handle contract negotiations, renewals, and enterprise agreements.
Customer Engagement & Solution Selling
- Understand customer IT infrastructure, business needs, and pain points.
- Recommend suitable hardware and software solutions aligned with customer requirements.
- Facilitate for product demos, presentations, and proof-of-concept discussions.
- Work closely with pre-sales and technical teams to deliver value-driven solutions.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
- Provide insights and feedback to management on customer needs and market opportunities.
- Participate in sales planning, forecasting, and pipeline management.
- Support marketing initiatives, events, and campaigns to generate leads.
Reporting & Compliance
- Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and CRM updates.
- Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports and performance reviews.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing guidelines, and ethical sales practices.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of IT hardware and software solutions.
- Proven expertise in enterprise and B2B sales.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage complex sales cycles and large deals.
- Strong relationship-building and customer management skills.
- Analytical mindset with focus on revenue and profitability.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 6–10+ years of experience in IT hardware and software sales.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience working with OEM HPE for Servers, Storage, Networking, Services product lines will be preferred along with IT solution providers.
- Knowledge of enterprise IT procurement and tender processes is a plus.
