Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled SPM Maintenance & Assembly Technician to assemble, install, maintain, and troubleshoot Special Purpose Machines (SPMs). The candidate should have knowledge of mechanical assembly, machine maintenance, and industrial automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble SPM machines as per engineering and assembly drawings.
- Install mechanical components such as linear guides, bearings, ball screws, gearboxes, motors, cylinders, and conveyors.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of SPM machines.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.
- Replace defective machine parts and ensure smooth machine operation.
- Support machine installation, testing, and commissioning at customer sites.
- Maintain maintenance records and machine service reports.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
- Coordinate with Design, Electrical, and PLC teams during machine assembly and maintenance.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of mechanical assembly and machine maintenance.
- Ability to read assembly drawings and mechanical layouts.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and power transmission.
- Experience using hand tools, measuring instruments, and power tools.
- Basic understanding of electrical control panels and sensors is an advantage.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Teamwork and effective communication.
Qualification
- ITI (Fitter/Mechanic), Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
Preferred Experience
- 0–5 years of experience in SPM Assembly, Machine Maintenance, Industrial Automation, or Manufacturing.
- Freshers with relevant technical knowledge are also welcome to apply.
