About the Role
Jayair Systems Private Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Design Engineer with expertise in HVAC system design and AutoCAD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and coordinating HVAC projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts, schematics, and technical documentation using AutoCAD.
- Perform HVAC load calculations, duct sizing, pipe sizing, and equipment selection.
- Develop BOQs (Bill of Quantities), technical specifications, and project estimates.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, consultants, architects, and site teams for project execution.
- Review and optimize HVAC designs for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with standards.
- Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical submittals.
- Ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Support procurement and installation teams with technical guidance.
- Participate in project meetings and provide engineering solutions to design challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3–4 years of experience in HVAC design and engineering.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Sound knowledge of HVAC systems, ventilation, air conditioning, chilled water systems, and ducting design.
- Experience with HVAC load calculation software and equipment selection tools.
- Knowledge of relevant HVAC standards and codes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
