Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient production flow, improving productivity, and maintaining product quality. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, process improvement expertise, and a hands-on approach to managing production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning & Execution: Oversee and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure smooth production operations.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Quality Control: Ensure adherence to quality standards by monitoring and troubleshooting production issues.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure the proper functioning of machines and equipment.
- Cost Reduction: Identify cost-saving opportunities by optimizing resource utilization and minimizing production losses.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, workplace guidelines, and company policies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including design, procurement, and maintenance, to meet production goals.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain production records, prepare reports, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of production processes, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality control techniques.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems, CAD software, and MS Office.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in [Industry-Specific Experience] (e.g., Dairy/Food Processing/Automation, etc.).
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is an advantage.
