Job Summary
The Production & Quality Supervisor is responsible for supervising day-to-day production activities while ensuring all products meet the company's quality standards. The role includes production planning, manpower allocation, quality inspections, coordination with stores and production teams, maintaining production records, and ensuring timely completion of manufacturing targets for Online UPS Systems, Servo Voltage Stabilizers, Isolation Transformers, Battery Banks, and other power conditioning equipment.
Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Supervision
- Supervise daily production activities and ensure production targets are achieved.
- Allocate work to technicians and production staff based on the production plan.
- Monitor production progress and minimize delays.
2. Quality Control
- Inspect raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished products.
- Ensure all products comply with company quality standards and specifications.
- Identify defects and implement corrective actions.
3. Team Management
- Supervise production operators, fitters, assemblers, and technicians.
- Monitor employee productivity and maintain discipline on the shop floor.
- Train new employees on production processes and quality standards.
4. Inventory & Material Coordination
- Coordinate with the Store Department to ensure timely availability of production materials.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
5. Production Documentation
- Maintain daily production reports, quality inspection reports, rejection reports, and production records.
- Ensure accurate documentation for audits and internal reviews.
6. Interdepartmental Coordination
- Coordinate with Purchase, Store, Sales, Service, and Dispatch teams for smooth production planning and execution.
7. Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce rework, and enhance product quality.
- Implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
8. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, quality procedures, and workplace safety standards.
- Promote a safe and organized work environment.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Production Engineering.
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in production and quality supervision in UPS, Servo Stabilizer, Transformer, Electrical Panel, or Electrical Equipment manufacturing.
Required Skills
- Production planning and shop floor supervision.
- Quality inspection and defect analysis.
- Team handling and manpower management.
- Knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/Tally (preferred).
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
Experience:
- Production and quality supervisor: 3 years (Required)
- UPS Manufacturing: 3 years (Preferred)
