About the Role
CogniAI Advanced Research Solutions Pvt Ltd is looking for a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer – Azure to join our engineering team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and improving our Azure cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, monitoring, and production environments. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps practices and be comfortable working closely with development and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application build, testing, and deployment.
- Manage and maintain Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
- Work with development teams to ensure smooth and reliable application releases.
- Monitor application and infrastructure performance, availability, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, networking, and production-related issues.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or ARM/Bicep.
- Manage source control and branching strategies using Git/Azure Repos.
- Configure and maintain Azure environments for development, testing, staging, and production.
- Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and performance tracking using Azure monitoring tools.
- Follow security best practices for cloud infrastructure, access management, secrets, and deployments.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or scripting.
- Support production deployments, releases, rollback procedures, and incident resolution.
- Maintain technical documentation related to infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering.
- Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Good knowledge of Git and version control.
- Experience with build and deployment automation.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerization.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes / Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is an added advantage.
- Experience with Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
- Good understanding of Linux and/or Windows server environments.
- Working knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting.
- Understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, load balancing, and firewalls.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
- Good understanding of cloud security, IAM, secrets management, and access controls.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Experience with Azure services such as App Services, Azure Functions, Storage, Key Vault, Virtual Networks, Azure SQL, and Container Registry.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps practices.
- Knowledge of Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar monitoring tools.
- Experience supporting AI/ML or data-intensive applications.
- Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-400, or AZ-305 will be an added advantage.

The ideal candidate should be able to independently troubleshoot issues, improve deployment processes, automate infrastructure, and work closely with developers to maintain stable, secure, scalable, and reliable Azure environments.
