About the Role:
We are seeking enthusiastic and tech-savvy Digital Empowerment Facilitators who are passionate about promoting digital literacy among youth from underserved communities. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to bridge the digital divide and empower youth with the skills they need to succeed in today’s world.
Reporting To: Centre Head
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery of the Digital Empowerment programme at the assigned Lighthouse:
- End-to-end conducting of the Digital Empowerment programme as per schedule and methodology.
- Prepare materials for sessions as per training guidelines while ensuring a conducive learning environment and supporting infrastructure and team members as and when required.
- Ensuring student attendance and participation in the sessions and achieving the monthly targets with efficiency and quality.
- Conduct timely student assessments; providing individual feedback and mentorships.
- Critically reflect on processes and contribute ideas to improve digital training methodologies.
- Feedback reels from youth as batch closure activity.
- Delivery of experiences to improve students' job readiness:
- Providing placement support w.r.t clarifying job descriptions to youth, enhancing their typing speed, ensuring essential documentation such as PAN card, Aadhar card, bank accounts, etc., and prepping youth with digital competencies wherever possible.
- Documentation and reporting of programme-related data:
- Maintaining progress reports of students, handling internal MIS system (encore), and involving day-to-day reporting.
- Timely reporting back on training progress at the Lighthouse to the Course Manager.
- Feedback reels from youth as batch closure activity.
- Lighthouse programme support:
- Provide support with emerging needs of the Lighthouse programme and Lighthouse centre admin through various program stages.
- Support student mobilization/ outreach in communities by calling for enrollments/ following up/ inspiring youth towards taking up the Lighthouse programme.
- Planning events, supporting donor visits and technical/ digital coordination towards successful engagement with stakeholders.
- Manage the center's social media account, and post updates regularly
- Support youth in creating reels and social media content for the communications team.
- Conducting Digital Wellbeing Sessions in the communities.
- Manage technical platforms and digital tools used for training and programme implementation.
- Support with data updates and data review.
- Maintaining a pool of alumni and conducting regular alumni events and assessments.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of prior experience as a computer teacher, IT trainer, or in a similar role.
- Proficient in Google Apps, MS Office Suite, and basic e-governance platforms.
- Strong time management, multitasking, and people management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Hindi, and preferably the regional language (Marathi).
- Digitally savvy, with an understanding of evolving technology trends.
- Passionate about using technology as a tool for empowerment and committed to reducing the digital divide.
