Job Title: Senior Engineer – power plant safety valve testing
Location: Chennai
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Senior Engineer – power plant safety valve testing & Tendering to lead and manage tendering activities, valve testing operations, client coordination, and service execution across India. The candidate will be responsible for handling online safety valve testing and valve service operations, managing testing teams, coordinating with clients, and ensuring successful project execution in power plants and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the valve testing/service team at various project sites
- Handle end-to-end tendering activities including RFQ/RFP review, costing, and proposal submission
- Prepare and submit techno-commercial quotations and service proposals
- Manage nationwide online safety valve testing and valve service operations
- Plan manpower deployment, project schedules, and service execution activities
- Conduct technical discussions with clients, consultants, and plant teams
- Build and maintain strong client relationships across India
- Ensure timely completion of testing and service activities as per client requirements
- Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and subcontractors
- Maintain project documentation, reports, and operational records
- Support business development and identify new service opportunities
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of safety valves, control valves, and industrial valve systems
- Experience in online safety valve testing and valve servicing
- Strong understanding of power plant O&M activities
- Expertise in tendering, estimation, costing, and project coordination
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams across India
- Strong email drafting and reporting skills
Qualifications:
- B. E / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred)
- Experience:
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in valve testing, valve servicing, power plant O&M, or EPC industries
- Power Plant O&M experience preferred
Language Requirements:
Fluency in Tamil, English (Mandatory) and Hindi (Preferred)
Preferred Profile:
Experience working with power plants, refineries, EPC companies, or valve service industries
Strong operational and client-handling experience
Willingness to relocate to Chennai.
Salary:
Best in industry, commensurate with experience and skills
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
