Project Role Description : Leads a team of quality engineers through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Applies business and functional knowledge to develop end-to-end testing strategies through the use of quality processes and methodologies. Applies testing methodologies, principles and processes to define and implement key metrics to manage and assess the testing process including test execution and defect resolution.

Summary:
As a Quality Engineering Lead, a typical day involves guiding a team of quality engineers by coordinating multi-disciplinary planning and integrating various ecosystem components to enhance delivery speed and ensure high-quality standards throughout the application lifecycle. The role requires overseeing the development and implementation of comprehensive testing strategies that align with business and functional requirements. This position also involves defining and monitoring key performance indicators to evaluate testing effectiveness, managing test execution, and facilitating defect resolution to maintain product excellence and reliability.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and team productivity.
- Mentor and support junior team members to foster professional growth and skill development.
Designs and builds scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to process structured and unstructured data. Develops and manages data lakes, warehouses, and large-scale processing systems. Optimizes database performance, monitors pipeline health, and resolves incidents. Implements data quality and governance processes. Supports BI solution delivery and collaborates with data scientists, analysts, and engineers on migrations and integrations.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.
ETL/ELT pipeline design using Databricks
Data architecture: data lakes, data warehouses, large-scale processing
SQL: complex queries, performance tuning across RDBMS
Data integration tools: Informatica & Alteryx
Data quality & governance: validation, error handling, quarantine procedures
BI tools: Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense
Pipeline monitoring, alerting & incident resolution
Good to have :
Supply chain & pharma distribution analytics
Diagnostic & predictive analytics techniques
Experience in pharma/healthcare
Master's in CS/Data Engineering
- Experience in designing and implementing quality assurance frameworks and testing methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and quality engineering best practices.
- Ability to analyze complex systems and develop effective testing strategies to ensure product quality.
- Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate quality processes within agile environments.
- Competence in monitoring and reporting key quality metrics to drive informed decision-making.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
