About the Role
St. Xavier's High School is seeking passionate, dedicated, and knowledgeable teachers to teach Mathematics, Physics, and Biology at the high school level. The ideal candidate should be committed to academic excellence, student development, and creating an engaging classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics, Physics, and/or Biology according to the school curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Conduct classroom teaching using effective and innovative teaching methods.
- Monitor student progress and maintain academic records.
- Prepare students for board examinations and competitive examinations.
- Conduct practical demonstrations and laboratory activities where applicable.
- Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry.
- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and staff meetings.
- Support students in their academic and personal growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in the relevant subject (B.Sc./B.Ed. preferred).
- Master's Degree (M.Sc.) is an added advantage.
- B.Ed. qualification preferred.
- Strong subject knowledge and communication skills.
- Previous teaching experience in a recognized school is desirable.
Skills Required
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital teaching tools.
- Team-oriented, patient, and student-focused approach.
Experience
- Freshers with strong subject knowledge may apply.
- Experienced teachers will be given preference.
