Medical Representative - Job Description
Location: Kochi / Kottayam, Kerala
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Medical Representative to promote our pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals and achieve sales objectives within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, strong relationship-building abilities, and a passion for sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote the company's pharmaceutical products to doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare professionals.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets within the assigned territory.
- Plan and execute daily field visits according to the approved tour plan.
- Conduct effective product presentations highlighting product features, benefits, and clinical advantages.
- Generate prescriptions by creating awareness of the company's product portfolio.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market coverage.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and promotional strategies, and report market intelligence.
- Ensure product availability by coordinating with distributors and stockists.
- Collect orders and follow up to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of doctor calls, daily activity reports, expense statements, and sales reports.
- Participate in product launches, CMEs, promotional campaigns, and company meetings.
- Maintain ethical promotional practices and comply with company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (B.Pharm, D.Pharm, B.Sc., or Life Sciences preferred).
- Freshers with excellent communication skills are welcome to apply.
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical sales is an added advantage.
- Valid two-wheeler driving license and willingness to travel extensively.
