Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and technically skilled Field Engineer to manage field installations, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support activities. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects and equipment are installed and operated efficiently while coordinating with customers, vendors, and internal engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of equipment/systems at project sites.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, measurements, and technical assessments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical, electrical, mechanical, or system-related issues at site.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, layouts, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with project, design, production, procurement, and engineering teams for smooth project execution.
- Ensure field activities are completed according to project timelines and quality standards.
- Perform testing and validation of equipment/systems before final handover.
- Prepare site reports, installation reports, inspection reports, and daily progress reports.
- Coordinate with customers and provide technical support during installation and after-sales activities.
- Identify technical problems and provide effective corrective and preventive solutions.
- Monitor the availability and proper usage of tools, equipment, and materials at project sites.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Train customers/operators on the proper operation and basic maintenance of installed systems.
- Travel to different project/customer locations as required.
- Maintain proper documentation of field activities, issues, resolutions, and project progress.
Required Skills
- 4–5 years of experience as a Field Engineer, Site Engineer, Service Engineer, Project Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of installation, commissioning, maintenance, and testing procedures.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
- Good knowledge of engineering tools and equipment.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently at customer/project sites.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently to project and customer locations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
- Relevant field/service engineering certifications will be an advantage.
