Job Description:
We are looking for a Quality Engineer with experience in manufacturing/engineering industries to support quality assurance and process improvement activities for locomotive and industrial engineering products.
The ideal candidate should possess good knowledge of inspection processes, quality systems, root cause analysis, and customer quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Maintain quality documents, inspection reports, and records
- Coordinate with production and supplier teams for quality improvements
- Monitor rejection trends and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Handle customer quality issues and corrective actions
- Support internal audits and process compliance activities
Desired Candidate Profile:
- 2 – 4 years of experience in Quality Engineering
- Experience in manufacturing / fabrication / heavy engineering industries preferred
- Knowledge of:
- 7 QC Tools
- RCA / CAPA
- Basic quality systems
- Inspection processes and instruments
- Good communication and coordination skills
Qualification:
- Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, or industrial manufacturing processes
- Basic knowledge of ISO quality systems
- Good MS Excel and reporting skills
Languages:
- English preferred
- Telugu / Hindi knowledge will be an added advantage
