Role

Medical affairs category representative on ISC OTC sub category and project teams.
-
Input to and implement the relevant sub-category medical strategy in line with local and global business needs.
-
Support the Head of Medical Affairs ISC in the implementation of the medical governance framework in India.
-
Provide medical support for R&D, ISC Category Teams and business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Responsible for medical representation within sub-category team(s).
-
Scientific Claims & Promotion:
-
Identify and proactively communicate new published data in timely fashion.
-
Proactively identify needs for promotional/ non-promotional material and discuss with marketing colleagues.
-
Responsible for supporting commercial functions to develop appropriate concepts and consumer communications (including claim innovation).
-
Review of promotional/ non-promotional material to ensure compliance with the applicable Codes of Promotion.
-
Leads medical strategy and associated clinical development/ claim support for India consumer healthcare products.
-
Clinical Research & Real World Evidences [RWEs]: Responsible for the design, implementation, reporting and publication of clinical studies to support consumer healthcare products in accordance with Haleon procedures. Authors’ publications, support claim substantiations with robust and latest evidences for local products as required.

Medical governance compliance: Responsible for implementation and training of including:

Scientific engagement policies and external code of promotion & practices
-
Review of promotional activities including copy review (as required)

Input to relevant medical information responses
-
Initial review of market research proposals and associated documentation.

Develop local Medical Affairs SOPs as required
-
Training & Skilling: Responsible for implementation of scientific education programs for OTC portfolio & sub categories including but not limited to induction for new joiners in experts/ sales, marketing and consumer relations teams.

External forums and Meetings: Responsible for representing Haleon at external scientific events including:

Presentation of Haleon data at conferences
-
Presentation of OTC portfolio and relevant science at external events (including satellite meetings etc.)

External Partnerships:
-
Establish and develop strong relationships with key external customers including KOLs/ HCPs and professional groups in relevant therapeutic area/ categories, in order to gain insights to support sound decision making and brand strategy development.

Identify opportunities for collaborative work, such as research, guideline development, meeting presentations etc.

Medical Due Diligence and monitoring: Responsible for assisting with medical due diligence and monitoring for portfolio/ category to minimize enterprise risk.

Reg Submissions to Health Authorities: Responsible for assisting with development of medical content for regulatory submissions
Requirements:

Minimum Education: Post-graduation in any relevant scientific discipline [e.g., MBBS MD/ PG or Doctorate/ PhD or other streams];
-
Minimum Experience: 6 to 8 years of relevant industry experience
