Job Purpose
To manage and strengthen the material sourcing and purchasing function by developing reliable supplier networks, driving cost optimization, ensuring timely material availability, and maintaining high standards of quality and supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the purchasing function and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Identify, evaluate, develop, and manage suppliers, particularly for machining and engineering components.
- Handle sourcing and procurement for medium- and low-volume requirements.
- Conduct supplier negotiations and drive cost optimization through effective commercial and technical evaluation.
- Analyze supplier quotations, cost structures, and various cost elements to identify savings opportunities.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term supplier relationships.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of cost, quality, delivery, and service.
- Evaluate suppliers and contribute to periodic supplier performance reviews and development initiatives.
- Resolve supplier-related issues and conflicts, including price, quality, delivery, and commercial concerns, in a timely manner.
- Coordinate closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, Stores, and other stakeholders to address supply-related challenges.
- Proactively identify potential supply risks and communicate issues that may impact business operations.
- Maintain appropriate supplier documentation, performance data, and sourcing records.
- Ensure a professional, consistent, and transparent approach in all supplier dealings.
- Contribute to supplier development, process improvement, and overall team objectives.

- Strong knowledge of purchasing, sourcing, negotiation, and commercial practices.
- Hands-on experience in machining and engineering components.
- Strong understanding of supplier cost breakdowns and cost analysis.
- Experience in supplier development and performance management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle challenging situations.
Pay: ₹1,700,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
